Okay, for some reason I can’t tweet anymore due to some stupid API limits that Twitter has enforced, so I’ll post it here.
Nakamura Asumiko (Doukyusei, Sotsugyousei, J no Subete, Anata no tame nara Doko made mo, Double Mints, Barairo no Hoo no Koro) has decided to take a little break, according to her site. She may (or may not) close her site, but here’s my (very rough) translation of her entry:
“I’m sorry for the abrupt notification. My personal capacity to act as admin has been destroying my mind and body. For a while, I’ve wanted to take a break from the business of writing. To all those who’ve read my work, I’m very sorry. Concerning my serials, even though they are mid-way through, I believe they will reach a settlement conclusion with the book version (not sure on this line). Again, my present site has been full, and will close this month (again, half-sure). All of this is my responsibility. I’m sorry.”
So, her site may close, or it may not close. All in all, I’m hoping Nakamura-sensei is alright, and that she’s just a little overworked. For those who don’t know, Nakamura-sensei has become very popular due to her work “Doukyusei” and its sequel, “Sotsugyousei.” Here’s to hoping that she’s okay!
